Heart of Darkness

In the staff room
where work should be done
where there should be work
there is darkness instead

The only light
The warm iridescent glow of the screen
Giving off warmth
Giving off comfort

While we wait
To emerge from the darkness
To be bathed in brightness
To be delivered from this inferno



WILL THEY PLEASE SWITCH THE POWER BACK ON??? or I'm going for lunch.
